Last updated: 4 October 2026

In short

  • We only use Google Analytics if you click Accept. If you click Reject, we do not load it.
  • We use no advertising, marketing or social media cookies, and we do not sell any data.
  • You can change your choice at any time, as easily as you gave it.

1. Who we are

This cookie statement is issued by Linktofind, Coolsingel 65, 3012 AC Rotterdam, the Netherlands. Linktofind connects finance and IT professionals with clients and employers.

We are responsible for the cookies and similar technologies on linktofind.com, in Dutch and in English. How we handle personal data in general is explained in our privacy statement.

2. What are cookies?

A cookie is a small text file that a website stores through your browser on your computer, tablet or phone. On a later visit the website can read it again, for example to remember that you are logged in or which language you chose.

Some techniques are similar to cookies. We use one of them: your browser’s local storage, where we keep your cookie choice. When this statement says ‘cookies’, it includes that technique.

  • First-party cookies are placed by linktofind.com itself. Third-party cookies are placed by another party, such as Google.
  • Session cookies disappear when you close your browser. Other cookies stay until their retention period ends, or until you delete them yourself.

3. Which types of cookies we use

The site does not work without these: we remember your language, keep you logged in and remember your cookie choice. These need no consent.

5. Google Analytics

Only after consent. Until you click Accept, your browser loads nothing from Google Analytics: no script, no cookie, no measurement.

What we measure

Which pages you view and for how long, which website or search engine brought you here, the type of device, the browser and screen size, and roughly where you are (country or region).

What we do not do

  • We do not link this data to your name, your account or your registration. We see totals and trends, not who you are.
  • Google Analytics does not store your IP address.
  • Google signals and ad personalisation are switched off. We do not use Google Analytics for advertising.
  • We do not measure visits by Linktofind staff who are logged in to the back office.

How long

The Google Analytics cookies stay for 13 months instead of the default 2 years. Google keeps the measurement data for at most 14 months.

Who

Google Analytics is provided by Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland. Data may also be processed by Google LLC in the United States. Google participates in the EU-US Data Privacy Framework, which the European Commission has found to provide an adequate level of protection. Read more in Google’s privacy policy (opens in a new tab) and about how Google uses data from sites that use its services (opens in a new tab).

6. Content from other parties

Map on the contact page (Google Maps)

The map on our contact page only loads when you click Kaart laden (Load map). Your browser then connects to Google, and Google may place its own cookies and process data under Google’s privacy policy (opens in a new tab). If you do not load the map, nothing happens: our address is also there as plain text.

Security at login (Google reCAPTCHA)

On the login page we use Google reCAPTCHA to protect your account against bots. reCAPTCHA processes technical data about your device and browser and your IP address. We do not load reCAPTCHA on any other page.

Files for animations and icons

For animations and icons we load a few public program files from the servers unpkg.com and cdn.jsdelivr.net. They place no cookies, but they do see your IP address, as any server does when your browser fetches a file from it.

Links to social media

The links to LinkedIn and Instagram on our site are plain links. Only when you click one do you go to that website. Until then, those parties place nothing through our site.

  • On your first visit, a bar at the bottom of the page asks whether we may use cookies to measure how the site is used.
  • Reject and Accept sit side by side and look the same: rejecting is as easy as accepting.
  • Under Settings you see what we use per type of cookie, and you choose yourself. Nothing is ticked in advance.
  • The bar does not block the site. Until you make a choice, we only use necessary cookies.
  • If your browser sends the Global Privacy Control signal (as Brave does by default), we treat it as Reject and do not show the bar. You can still give consent yourself via Cookie settings.
  • We remember your choice for 12 months. After that we ask again, and also when we start using a new service that needs consent.

8. Changing or withdrawing your choice

At the bottom of every page you will find the link Cookie settings. There you can give, change or withdraw your consent at any time. If you withdraw it, we delete the Google Analytics cookies from your browser and stop loading it.

Withdrawing does not affect what was measured earlier with your consent.

9. How we record your choice

Under the GDPR we must be able to show that we received consent. So we record every choice: a random consent ID, what you chose, the version of the cookie settings, the date and time, and the language of the page.

We store no IP address, name or email address with it. The consent ID is only stored in your own browser; you can see it under Cookie settings after you have made a choice. We keep these records for 2 years and protect them so that any later change would be noticed.

10. Managing cookies in your browser

You can always view, delete or block cookies in your browser yourself. This is how it works in the most common browsers:

If you block all cookies, you cannot log in to the talent portal. If you delete your cookies and local storage, we will ask for your choice again on your next visit.

Google also offers a browser add-on (opens in a new tab) that switches Google Analytics off on every website.

11. Your rights

Where cookies process personal data, you have the rights of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR):

  • the right to access your data;
  • the right to have incorrect data corrected;
  • the right to have your data erased;
  • the right to restrict processing;
  • the right to object;
  • the right to take your data to another party;
  • the right to withdraw your consent at any time.

You can email a request to info@linktofind.com. We reply within one month. Not happy with how we handle your data? Let us know. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority, the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens (opens in a new tab).

You can read more about your rights in our privacy statement.

12. Changes to this statement

We update this statement whenever we change the cookies we use. The date at the top shows when that last happened. If we start using a new service that needs consent, we ask for your consent again.
